Positioning the Baby

You must have beamed when you came across pictures of babies on their bellies, sleeping and sometimes even smiling. However, that way of positioning a baby can be harmful.

Babies are most safe when they're sleeping on their backs, on a plain flat surface. Even placing blankets or soft cushions underneath them is not recommended, as it causes the improper distribution of the spine.

Photoshoot Props

All props that make a photoshoot lively need to be thoroughly checked if they're safe for the baby. Small items such as toys, figurines, blocks, plastic bags, finger food, chalk, etc., must be avoided as they carry a choking hazard.

You should make sure the baby, or you, aren't allergic to any living props, like pets, flowers, suede, food, etc. If you're unsure, avoid the risk of including these things in your baby's photoshoot altogether.

Safety with Siblings
